Word Press vs. Blogger

So, I have two blogs going right now.  One is www.amycail.com and the other is this one.  The first one is through WordPress and I have no clue what I'm doing on there.  The only thing I know how to do is post.  I can't change anything, can't link it to twitter, nothing.  Trey said he would help me figure it out but I like figuring some things out on my own.

I decided to create this blog because I assume blogger is easier to manage things with.  I have already figured out how to make the background, send the posts to twitter (I'm still trying to figure out if it will do it automatically), and how to post things to facebook.  Plus I can see who is looking at my blog.  I know there is a ton more I can do with each blog but I just don't know how.

So, if you have a blog, do you use Blogger or WordPress or something else?  What do you like about it?  What do you not like about it?  Any cool tips for either?

  1. to get my stuff to post to fb and twitter automatically i use twitterfeed to get my blog posts automatically on fb - but then have fb linked to twitter someother way, i had them both linked to the blog through twitterfeed, but it was posting to twitter twice (once directly from the blog and then once from facebook, and of course it's all the same thing)

twitter still confuses me greatly, i might get rid of it...

wordpress also confuses the heck outta me, i was going to put my blog there, but I couldn't even follow the dummy directions to set it up!?!

  2. Well, apparently Trey put me as an "editor" not "Admin" on my wordpress blog! LOL! Now I can get to everything. I still don't know what I'm doing on there but I haven't really looked at it since he changed it. :) He is the one who set my blog up and then just said "Here you go" so I really have no clue about how he set it up or how to change things. I'm going to look more into it and see what I can figure out.

What about twitter are you not understanding? I love it! Much better than facebook in that you don't have all the random videos or really long status updates from people. Maybe I can help if you have questions about it.
